WHAT'S NEW
4/18/2007 - Well racing has been put on hold for the time being. My work schedule the lack of time and help really made last year a struggle. The fact we were involve in wrecks every time out last year didn't help matters any. I want to thank everyone who helped out over the last few years. My sponsors Lynch Gm and the Lynch Truck Center, WLKG radio, Performance Unlimited, LDV Graphics, and the Pits online for the cool logo. My dad John Sr. 1st for giving me the sickness we call racing ,as well as his help on the car and spotting. Ron and Carol Willing during the 05 season made it a lot of fun. And fans and competitors who were out there cheering for us. And finally my wife Linda who was so supportive during the good times and not so good. I will be at the track cheering on my friends this year. Lynch is also still sponsoring the Mid-American stock car series as well as other individuals.Good luck to everyone during the 2007 season. 5/7/2006 - We missed the 1st race at Rockford and the opener at Lake Geneva was our 1st race this year. With no practice and no heat race the 1st time the car was up to speed was the feature. Unfortunatly we were involved in 2 incidents in the 1st 5 laps and were not able to continue. Not a great start. But the car felt very good and I'm looking forward to getting back this week for the Lynch Gm Pot-o-Gold Sportsman special at Lake Geneva. Our schedule is posted on the home page for most of the year. I also want to thank Ron and Carol Willing for all their help last season. Without good help it is very difficult to do this week in and week out. Which is why we are running a limited schedule this year. Anyone intrested in helping send us an e-mail. Also this being the last season at Lake Geneva try to get out there this year for some of the best side by side racing in the country. See ya soon. John 3/22/06 - Well it's a new year and a long off season. We have had some good news with our son Justin getting married to Kim. And in the process getting 2 grandchildren in the deal Kaylin and Brooke. They are so sweet. Also some bad news we lost Izzy our beloved Shar pei to kidney failure. She will be missed greatly. But we just got a new puppy Livy who is very cute and helping us mend our broken hearts. Now on to racing .We are trying to get the car ready for Rockford on April 1st but things are not going as planned. With my work schedule and the fact the motor is not ready yet we may have to put off our season til the 15th at Lake Geneva. We'll keep you posted. Thanks for checking in. John and Linda 9/28/05 - Hi everyone I'm back. It's been a very busy year racing and working. Lynch had it's grand opening of the new superstore. We brought the car and it was a huge sucess. We also have new GoFisch Racing hero cards so just e-mail me your address and we'll send them out to anyone who asks. Oh yea ,we've also done some racing this summer. After some close 2nd place finishes I finally won a heat race back a few weeks ago. The trip to the Milwaukee Mile started out great at the end of August, but the final practice a flex-plate exploded ruining our chances of racing. Thanks to Ron, my dad, and everyone who loaned us parts to try and get out. But the damage was to much for the little time we had before the last chance race. The good news is it could have been much worst. And the set-up we used there really helped us at Lake Geneva. We feel like we've got a better handle on the car now,and a heat win and 2 top 5 feature finishes in the last 3 races proves it. Well gotta go , this weekend is the Mid Am race at Lake Geneva and will be the last race of the year for GoFisch Racing. NO HOLDS BARRED this weekend!! Thanks everyone for all you support. John and Linda 8/1/05 Well the Lynch motorsports show was a great sucess. After that I was invited to appear on the Racin Round-up show on WAUK, a local racing show that has been around for years. The people there treated me like I was one of the big names like Trickle or Hornaday both whom were there that nite. It was great and Fox 6 news had a picture of the Go-Fisch Racing #13 on sports that nite. I been doing better at promoting so far this year than racing. But things have been getting better. At least we are finishing races. And I've been qualifing better. Also Perry Hintz from HP Cards just go us our new races cards. I hope to post a picture of them online soon. Also our fan from Holland Henk Bosch I'll be sending you one soon. We are off to Madison for the Mid-Am show Friday nite. It's a fast 1/2 mile that I've never raced on. I'm very excited about going. Then later this month it's the Milwaukee Mile for the biggest Mid-Am race of the year. I also want to that everyone who has helped this year. Ron and Carol Willing, my dad John Sr., Matt Remer for painting all the replacement panels, the sponsors listed on my home page and finally my wife Linda. The first part of the year is over now it's time to win some races. See Ya Soon. Thanks, John 6/8/05 Sorry it's been so long since my last update. But this year if it can go wrong it has. After the 3rd crash of the year last week we decided to take this week off and regroup. The next race will be Lynch Mid-Am show 6/18/05 at Lake Geneva. The car will also be at Lynch during the day for the 12th annual Motorsports Jamboree. The # 20 Home Depot Chevrolet will be there along with other local cars and drivers. Hope to see everyone there. Let's hope our luck changes. Thanks, John 5/3/05 Well the Lynch nite curse continues.Every time we sponsor a race I'm in it ends up terrible and last Sat. was no exception. It started early with brake adjustment problems in practice. During the heat I got together with a car that spun in from of me and bent some parts in the right front suspension but was still able to finish 2nd. Ron and I thought we had the car fixed for the feature and I started outside on the front row. The car was ok as I ran 2nd for the first 10 laps the it made some unexpected turn to the right at top speed on the straight. Not good!! I hit the front strech wall and spun off turn 1 at a high rate of speed. That was crash # 2 for the nite and that still didn't do us in. Ron checked out the car and I got back on the track for the restart. I moved up a few spots and just want to finish the race when the BIG ONE happened. A couple cars up front got together and the whole field was running in a tight pack all heck broke loose and with nowhere to go I hit a car the spun in front of me hard enough to break the radiator. Finally the nite was over. Got a lot of work ahead of us to get back for Sat. nite. Hope to see ya all there. Thanks for your support. John 4/18/2005 Well We keep sneaking up on speed. It's coming along well. Qualified faster than before and the car is starting to feel comfortable. I just have to finish a feature with out spinning out. We went to WLKG radio on Sat. to guest DJ Sat. at the 70's with Mark Wingate. Also had the car on display and fans stop by to win tickets. Thanks to Mark and the entire LKG staff for a great time and great tunes. Just a few more minor changes and a little more seat time for me and I think we'll be a front runner. Thanks, John 4/10/05: Not the best nite but we are getting things figured out. We qualified 1/10th quicker than last week. And started out the feature running in the top 3 for the 1st 8-10 laps. To bad the race was 30 laps. The car started to push and I lost a lot of positions. Finally with 2 laps to go I lost it and spun out of turn 4. But I didn't hit anything and we finished in one piece.Well we will keep trying to dial it in and get back at it next week. See Ya at the track! John 4/5/05 What an eventful couple of weeks it,s been. The new Pace trailer from Badger Trailers is here. We've been putting in late nites to get the car ready for the opener. Signed 2 new sponsors. And welcome Ron and Carol Willing to our team. Without Rons help I would not have made it out opening nite. Also my dad and Brad Kossow who pushed me til 2am to complete it Sat. morning. Well the 1st race is over and thing went great! No mechanical problems on a car that had never been out of the garage. The driver was a little rusty and made the wrong brake adjustment or we may have had a better finish. Tim Burlick from Autoscape lettered the car and it looks awesome. I'll try to get some new pictures up this week. Hopefully we will be able to get the car dialed in a little better this week and finish better. Come out and say hi. Thanks again to everyone who help support me. John 3/12/05- Just put up a picture of the interior of the car. The body is getting painted and will be on this week. I'll post some pictures as soon as it's done. We also just recieved the official Go Fisch Racing hats, and shirts. Look for the pictures on the home page. 1st practice is Wens. March 23rd.I hope to shake the car down. Also the new Pace trailer should be here this week. Lot's to get ready. Can't wait to try out the new car. See Ya soon. John and Linda 2/9/05 The car is coming along fine the 1st race will be Sat. nite April 2nd at Lake Geneva Raceway. I hope to have the motor in the car and running by next week. The seat is mounted and suspension is all on. Just alot of little time consuming things yet to do. We also purchased a new 24 ft. Pace trailer from Badger Trailer and will pick it up by the end of the month. I'll update some pictures of the car on the home page this week. See ya soon at the races. Thanks! John and Linda 12/23/2004: Just a quick note to update everyone on our plans for 2005.The new car is ready for paint, the chassis is going in on Monday the 27th and interior and body will be done in the next week also. The plan for 2005 is to run at Lake Geneva all season. We will also run at Milwaukee and Road America if they stay on the Mid-Am schedule. The GoFisch Racing logo was made by Douglas Ladd of The Pits, thanks Doug! I'm looking forward to a great season.
